About

I'm Mohamed Elhabib, a backend and DevOps developer from Sudan. I've been taking devices apart since I was a kid, repairing phones and maintaining computers, and in 2019 I started teaching myself programming from YouTube.

Story

I learned to code alongside a degree in Arabic Language and Literature at Omdurman Islamic University, which I finished in 2024 with first-class honours. Since 2025 I've built and run systems for clients in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sudan and Switzerland, and I'm now studying Information Technology at Sudan Open University.

My daily work is Python and Django on Linux servers with Docker. For other stacks I use spec-driven, AI-assisted development: I own the requirements, specs, testing and deployment. In my free time I write Rust; I built Nit, a small Git implementation, to understand how Git works inside. I also write about Linux, programming and AI on LinkedIn.

My approach to engineering is practical:

2021 – Present

Field Operations & Campaign Coordinator

Takaful Charity Organization · Sudan

Graduate of the Leadership Preparation Program, Batch 4. Managed and coordinated 5 field teams during Ramadan aid campaigns. Prepared operational and financial daily reports. Supervised field operations and solved team coordination issues. Supervised more than 30 charity kitchens serving over 1500 families daily during Ramadan. Managed distribution operations for Eid campaigns benefiting more than 700 families. Designed social media and campaign materials for multiple initiatives.

2022

Co-Founder & Secretary General

Sawaed Al-Dhad Charity Association · Sudan

Co-founder and Secretary General of the association. Managed winter clothing and food support initiatives. Participated in fundraising campaign planning and coordination. Supported more than 100 families through charitable initiatives. Prepared operational and organizational reports.
